SADX AP trick notes

This is just me jotting down notes about SADX AP trick discovery, including planned videos for the purpose of adding to Expert logic. I will edit this as I go. I have no say as to whether a clip is considered Expert or Expert+; that is Classic's decision.

"Alt" connections
  • Lost World Alt is Knuckles's entrance.
  • Private Room <-> EC Deck Alt is...??
Impossible connections

The following blockers for connections simply are not possible to skip, as the triggers for these connections are not there until it is unlocked (and at that point, you may as well approach it normally). Warp pads and elevators simply do nothing until unlocked, the latter softlocking you if you clip in. Cutscene triggers, like the train or MR's jungle carts, hard-require unlocking the connection.
  • all bosses - warp pad (elevator for Chaos 2)
  • Sky Chase 1+2 - warp pad
  • SS Sewers <-> TP Tunnel - elevator
  • SS Station <-> MR Main - cutscene trigger
  • SS Main / TP Tunnel <-> Sewers - elevator
  • MR Main -> MR Chao Garden - cutscene trigger
  • MR Main <-> Jungle - cutscene trigger
  • MR Ice Cave -> Ice Cap - loading zone is not present until unlocked
  • Past <-> MR, both sides - warp pad
  • UNCONFIRMED: MR Jungle -> Lost World Back
  • UNCONFIRMED: Final Egg Tower -> Final Egg
  • EC Outside <-> SS Main / MR Main - cutscene trigger
  • UNCONFIRMED: EC Captain Room <-> Private Room
  • EC Warp Hall <-> EC Chao Garden - warp pad
New tricks that I still need to record
  • Tails MR Ice Cave to Angel Island (DX)
  • Big MR Jungle to Knuckles's Lost World (DX/DCC)
Obvious logic holes
  • Tails SS Hotel to Pool (DX) - use the ceiling clip in the Crystal Ring room
