Rules and Guidelines

Welcome to my personal forum board! By participating here, you agree to the following rules, which are in place to make this space friendly, functional, and to my liking:

1. Age requirement

You must be at least 16 years of age to make an account and post here.

If you are found to be younger, you will immediately be banned for the appropriate time.

2. Be nice

Don't insult, demean, harass, or discriminate against others.

Slurs, unclaimed or otherwise, are grounds for an immediate ban.

3. Don't spread misinformation

This forum board can be used to discuss various different things, or even just to joke around. Underneath it all, though, please do not intentionally spread misinformation of any kind, whether it be about someone else or about a particular topic. This is particularly strict for political discussion.

4. Don't post these things

A. NSFW content is strictly forbidden, including anything "debatable", or "hornyposting". I'm not comfortable with it, and you would potentially be exposing minors to it.

B. The unauthorized downloading of copywritten material ("piracy") is strictly forbidden, as is encouragement of or admittance to it. Do not post ROMs, or anything you would normally need to pay for here. (Discussing emulation, fangames, and ROM hacks is fine, including for recent and still-supported systems like the Switch.)

C. Don't post video guides for software hacks.

D. Don't advertise without first seeking my approval, except for Archipelago multiworlds in the Archipelago subforum and multiplayer sessions in the Multiplayer Games subforum.

E. Don't spam.

F. Don't discuss drama, raids, or brigades in/for other communities.

5. Follow forum etiquette

A. Post topics in the correct subforum. This is particularly strict for political discussion. (If you mess up once or twice, it's fine, but don't do it constantly.)

B. Before posting in a subforum, read any stickied topics that might exist there, as they likely contain important info or additional guidelines.

C. If a topic has been inactive for at least a week, consider whether you're adding anything to the discussion before replying to it.

D. Your signature may not exceed 400px in total height, and shouldn't have anything distracting.

6. Other important things

A. Trying to evade, look for loopholes, or stay borderline within the rules will be treated as breaking them.

B. If you are causing problems for others, even if it isn't listed in the rules, you are breaking the rules.

C. Do not intentionally submit false reports. Doing so will cause you to be punished as if you broke the rule you reported for.

There's no set criteria for how you're punished for breaking the rules. You might receive a warning, you might be restricted from posting, or in particularly bad cases you may simply be permabanned in some way. The only set-in-stone rules are that three accumulated warnings will result in a permaban, and warnings fall off after a year.

If someone is breaking a rule, report the message by clicking the exclamation-mark (!) button on the post. I'll receive the report and look into it. While I'll see your username, your report will remain anonymous.
