stupid linux build rant

i appreciate when software provides linux builds

i don't appreciate it when said builds are broken and don't work like they're supposed to

test your software. if your builds for a particular platform are broken, i'd rather you not mislead me into thinking you have functional builds for it, and instead just not provide any at all.

nothing specifically lead me to post this, but i know for a fact that skytemple has this issue and it's incredibly bizarre since that was originally a linux-first app. what happened was that the original developer left and nobody cares enough to maintain the linux build or accept bug reports for them - i submitted a bug report and the very first response was "well nobody maintains the linux builds so it's unlikely to be fixed" when there are also windows-specific bugs that also aren't fixed. it's so weird.
